WACS has new leadership

The Board of Directors of the World Association of Chefs Societies (Worldchefs) accepted the resignation of Gissur Gudmundsson stepping down from his position as President and Board Member of the Association with immediate effect.

Current Vice President Charles Carroll will immediately take on the role of President in line with the Worldchefs constitution and the board is pleased to announce that the former Continental Director John Sloane will immediately step into the position of Vice President supported by our current Secretary General Helgi Einarsson. Under this new leadership, Worldchefs will continue to pursue its mission with a strong focus on developing skills and standards within the culinary profession. 

The World Association of Chefs Societies boasts a rich heritage and history. The Association was formed at the Sorbonne University in Paris in 1928, with 27 countries represented. Today the Association boasts a membership of 100 countries spread across the four corners of the globe.
